For the bag pictured I used Bernat Handicrafter but any weight 4 yarn could easily be substituted.

My bag measures approximately 11 inches wide and 11 inches tall.
PATTERN

ROW 1
- 2 hdc in second ch from hook
- hdc across
- 3 hdc in last stitch
*You will now work across the bottom of the chain
- hdc across
- hdc in last stitch (the stitch you started the row on)
- slst to first hdc
ROW 2
- ch 1
- hdc around
- Do not join
ROW 3 – 26
*Rows 3 – 26 will be worked in continuous rounds, meaning you won’t join at the end of each row. Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round to keep track of the row numbers.
- hdc around
*Your last stitch in ROW 26 may be off centre from the side of your bag, if it is, continue to hdc until you reach the side
- At the end of Row 26, join with a slst
ROW 27 – 28
- ch 1
- sc around
- slst to beginning sc
ROW 29
- ch 1
- sc in the next 13 stitches
- ch 50, skip the next 15 stitches
- sc in the next 26 stitches
- ch 50, skip the next 15 stitches
