DIMENSIONS
My finished cloth measures approximately 7 inches by 7 inches
It can easily be adjusted:
- To adjust the width of the cloth add or omit stitches from your starting chain
- To adjust the height add or omit any number of the repeated rows
ch 24 (or any multiple of 2 to change the size of your cloth)
PATTERN
ROW 1
- Pick up 1 loop through the second ch from the hook and each ch to end
- Work standard return pass
ROW 2
- *tss2tog, yo* across until 1 stitch remains
- 1 edge stitch in last stitch
*I find it helpful to count all the loops on your hook before completing the return pass to make sure there were no yo’s missed. You should have 24 loops on your hook or, if you changed the length of your starting ch, that many loops on your hook.
- Work standard return pass
Repeat Row 2 until your cloth reaches your desired height (I ended the cloths pictured at Row 17)
BIND OFF
Bind off, do not fasten off, ch 1.
BORDER
Using your 5.5 mm crochet hook:
Turn your cloth clockwise and sc evenly down the side, place 2 sc in the corner stitch. Continue to sc around the remaining 3 sides, placing 2 sc in each corner, slst to beginning sc. Fasten off and weave in ends!
