Materials
- Bernat Maker Home Dec or any weight 5 yarn of your choice
- 6 mm Crochet Hook
Notes
- Beginning chain does not count as a stitch
- I used Bernat Maker Home Dec and a 6.00 mm hook to write the bag pattern but any yarn/hook could easily be substituted. Note that changing the yarn/hook will change the dimensions of the bag.
Abbreviations (US Terms)
- slst – Slip Stitch
- ch – Chain
- sc – Single Crochet
- hdc – Half Double Crochet
- dc – Double Crochet
- fpdc – Front Post Double Crochet
Dimensions
- My bag measures approximately 9 inches tall (not including handles) and 11 inches wide.
- The height can be adjusted to make a taller bag, it is noted in the pattern where the adjustment can be made.
Pattern
Begin with a Magic Ring, ch 2
ROW 1
- dc 10 into Magic Ring
- slst to first dc (10 stitches)
ROW 2
- ch 2, 2 dc in each stitch around
- slst to beginning dc (20 stitches)
ROW 3
- ch 2, *dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch*
- Repeat from * to * around
- slst to beginning dc (30 stitches)
ROW 4
- ch 2, *dc in the next 2 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch*
- Repeat from * to * around
- slst to beginning dc (40 stitches)
ROW 5
- ch 2, *dc in the next 3 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch*
- Repeat from * to * around
- slst to beginning dc (50 stitches)
ROW 6
- ch 2, *dc in the next 4 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch*
- Repeat from * to * around
- slst to beginning dc (60 stitches)
ROW 7
- ch 2, *dc in the next 5 stitches, 2 dc in the next stitch*

- slst to beginning dc (70 stitches)

- Skip the next 15 stitches
