Weight 6 – 100 Yards

For the bag pictured I used Fast-Track from Lion Brand which has now been discontinued, any weight 6 yarn could easily be substituted.

  • 2 sc in second ch from hook
  • sc in the next 10 stitches
  • 5 sc in last stitch

*You will now work across the bottom of the chain

  • sc in the next 10 stitches
  • 2 sc in last stitch (the stitch you started the row on)
  • slst to first sc (29 stitches)

ROW 2

  • 2 sc in next 2 stitches
  • sc in the next 10 stitches

*Rows 5 – 19 will be worked in continuous rounds, meaning you won’t join at the end of each row. Use a stitch marker to mark the first stitch of each round to keep track of the row numbers.

*If you would like to change the height of your bag, add or remove rows between Row 5 and 19

*Your last stitch may be off centre from the middle of the side of your bag, if it is, continue to sc until you reach the middle (approx. 4 -5 stitches)

*If you would like to change the length of the handles, add or remove chains in this Row.
