Materials
- Approx. 150 yards of Worsted Weight (4) Yarn of your choice
- 4.5 mm Crochet Hook or Hook size appropriate for your yarn choice
Notes
- Beginning chain may or may not count as a stitch, it is noted throughout the pattern
- This Wine Bag is meant to be used as a Wine Bottle Gift Bag, not a functional shopping bag.
- The tension for this bag is meant to be tight, loose tension will cause the bag to stretch too much when carrying a full bottle of wine bottle, if you crochet loosely, size down your crochet hook until you find one that will give you tight enough tension.
- I used Caron Simply Soft Party to make the bag pictured.

Sizing
The height of the bag can be adjusted to fit a taller bottle by adding repeats between Rows 34 and 35.
Pattern
Begin by creating a Magic Ring
ROW 1
- ch 2 (counts as a stitch)
- 11 dc into ring,
- slst into top of chain 2 (12 sts)
ROW 2
- Ch 2 (counts as a stitch), dc in same stitch
- 2 dc in each stitch around
- slst into top of chain 2 (24 sts)
ROW 3
- Ch 2 (counts as a stitch), dc in same stitch, dc in next stitch,
- *2 dc in next stitch, dc in next stitch*
- Repeat from * to * around,
- slst into top of chain 2 (36 sts)
ROW 4
- Ch 2 (counts as a stitch)
- dc in each stitch around,
- slst into top of chain 2 (36 sts)
ROW 5
- Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch going forward), fpdc over chain 2 of previous round, fpdc in next 2 stitches, bpdc in next 3 stitches
- *fpdc in next 3 stitches, bpdc in next 3 stitches*
- Repeat from * to * around,
- slst into first fpdc (36 sts)
