NOTES
- I have included instructions for both light and heavy weight 5, I found there to be large difference in various weight 5 yarns and a single stitch/row count did not work for all.
- I was able to complete the decrease portion of the beanie using my 16” cable but if you find it tricky switching to DPN’s may be helpful.

SIZING
This pattern is designed to fit an average sized teen or woman’s head (21 – 23 inch circumference).
Finished Messy Bun Beanie should measure approximately 8 inches tall and 8.5 inches wide.

GAUGE
8 sts and 13 rows = 2 inches
BRIM
Cast on 72 sts, pm and and join for working in the round.
ROW 1 – 10

BODY

Continue until your beanie measures 6.5 inches tall (Approximately 21 rows)
DECREASE
ROW 1

- Repeat from * to * around (54 sts)
ROW 2

- Repeat from * to * around (54 sts)

- Repeat from * to * around (36 sts)
